About Dawid Ryłko

I'm Dawid Ryłko. I started programming at school and have built software ever since: web and mobile applications, backend services, infrastructure, and the teams and architecture around them. Each step widened the part of a system I answer for.

Silesian Solutions is my own business. Cyber Katalog is a cybersecurity project under it, and I lead it. Security shapes how I review and harden what I build.

dawid.dev holds my engineering notes and the longer write-ups on security. My Polish-language blog is here on this site.

Philosophy

Engineering is a craft, and craft is mostly judgement.

- Andrzej Stasiuk, Jadąc do Babadag

Everything must be invented anew, because days cannot vanish into the past filled merely with landscape, with motionless, unchanging matter, which will finally shake us off its body, flick us away like all those minor incidents, those faces and existences lasting no longer than a single glance.
